Cost: $90/semester
Class Description: In this course we will use the Around the World with Picture Books geography program from Beautiful Feet Books. This is far more than a geography class though! Students will study art, architecture, food, literature, history, music and more through picture books, classroom crafts and activities. Each student will have a passport, map, and notebook to travel the world. They will have a list of optional books to read to enhance their experience. Students will also be given a passport to record their books that they read at home.
This class spans 4 semesters, and students can jump in on the class, any semester, without having taken previous classes. The first semester we will travel to China, Japan, Thailand, and India. The second semester we will travel to Australia, Morocco, Egypt, Tanzania and Kenya.
Grades: Kindergarten-3rd grade

Required materials: Scissors, crayons or markers, pencil, and glue. Students are encouraged to read books that relate to the country they are studying. This may be done by borrowing books so no purchases are necessary.
