Class Description:

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink”- Matthew 25:35

As parents we live the works of mercy on a daily basis, feeding children, clothing them and giving them drink, but perhaps we often struggle to teach the works of mercy to our children.  This is a morning time style class aimed at planting seeds for the growth of future saints.

This year we will explore the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy through prayer, scripture, lives of the saints, sacred art, games, and activities to instill and put into practice the tools for children to live the works of mercy.  This will include organizing and collecting items for a specific charity, field trip(s) outside of class time, along with ideas for incorporating the works of mercy at home. All materials for class will be provided for by the teacher. Parental assistance will be necessary for field trips and dates will be announced ahead of time. 

Grades: 1st-5th
