Class Description:

This is a semester-long course diving into Economics for High School. This course will help the student understand how incentives and information influence the choices people make, and how governments influence economic progress. The student will learn basic economic principles needed to explore and understand such issues as free trade, globalization, inflation, recessions, surpluses and shortages, global warming, energy, stimulus packages and bailouts. We will be utilizing books, video news clips and articles from leading economists.
